We are in the process of issuing Fort Lee Community Center Photo ID Cards, indicating that you are a Fort Lee resident and are able to take part in our programs.Everyone will need a Community Center ID card to take part in a class or activity.No one will be allowed to participate without an ID card.In order to receive an ID card, you must show proof of residency in the form of a current NJ Driver’s License with a photo – OR – a lease, deed, property tax bill, recent cancelled rent check, recent cancelled maintenance check, or co-op or condo maintenance agreement. Members do not have to register for the following programs if they have a Community Center ID Card: English Conversation, Line Dancing, Latin Zumba Aerobics, Ballroom Dance, Toddler Open Gym Time, Tai Chi, Kung Fu Fan.ID cards will be issued at the following times:
The Jack Alter Fort Lee Community Center is a 35,000 square foot facility that opened in October of 2005. It is home to many of the Borough’s youth and adult sports' organizations, including basketball, soccer, cheerleading, volleyball, baseball, football, softball and more.
The Community Center offers seasonal programs for Fort Lee residents, many of which are free. These include, but are not limited to, Latin Zumba Aerobics, Tai Chi, Ballroom Dance, Pilates, Yoga, Stretch and Tone, English Conversation, Line Dancing, and Open Toddler gym time.
Special Events held during the year include classical music concerts, a speakers’ bureau, cabaret nights, special outdoor weekend concerts, Dancing Under the Stars, Movies and Music under the Stars and a Farmers’ Market.
One must possess a Fort Lee Community Center Photo ID card in order to use the facility. ID’s will be issued to those who show proof of residency in the form of a current NJ drivers license with a photo; a lease, a deed, a property tax bill, maintenance agreement, recent cancelled rent check, recent cancelled or maintenance check. Utility bills will not be accepted as proof of residency. For residents under 18 years of age, a current Fort Lee school issued photo ID card will also be accepted as proof of residency.
Proof of age (passport or birth certificate) may be required for classes or events that are geared to a specific age group by the Community Center.
